Scott Barnes told Nik Daschel that PAC 2 are in serious talks, negotiations with ACC for 2025 schedule,

If we can't get an invite to a P4 conference, and it doesn't sound like that's going to happen in the immediate future, then the goal has to be to land in (or build) the best G5 conference out there. The money dip will be a rough transition, but having a home in a league where the conference champion earns an invitation to the playoff will be a nice consolation prize.

What I'd really like to see is that we use this time (and holdover money) to make a similar move for the Olympic sports. Do something outside the box and band all of the West coast programs together to form a 24 program PacWest conference for everything other than football.
The only way this works and the only way it builds real parity (which no one in NCAA wants) is to make tiered payouts that actually reward the G5 team for getting there. Spread that dough out. It doesn't have to be equal, but it has to make sense. What I don't want to see is the 5-12 matchup get scraps in the first round ( because the G5 will ALWAYS be the 12) and basically get nothing for being the P4 bitch in a game they more than likely will lose.

Otherwise the G5 is just whoring themselves out for scraps and bodybag games. Again, why? Its not creating "wealth" so the football team can get better. It would barely fund the title 9 programs. So again, what's the point?

I don’t. Kuerig pod, black. I even buy that cheap ass San Francisco company.
Ugh, why even bother? I mean, to each their own but there is much better coffee to be had at home. Unless you make a milk and sugar drink, in which case you've already chosen the best option for you.

Not that Starbucks is the answer to anything that doesn't taste like burnt beans or sugar, but there is really, really, really good coffee out there. Start with an americano or longo (lungo?) and move on to the milk drinks like cortado or cappuccino that maintain the essence of the coffee and don't water it down with sugar.

We have a Breville barista express and its been great over the past 6 years. I was longing for the simplicity and ease of the old Keurig so we got (another) one and the coffee is just horrible in comparison. I'd rather have grocery store drip coffee. And the whole "making more plastic waste" thing was weighing on me with all those pods. I never thought I'd be a "coffee guy" because I'd never had good coffee, but its 80% about getting good beans. Maybe even 90%

That being said, Keurig nailed ease and convenience.

Scott Barnes told Nik Daschel that PAC 2 are in serious talks, negotiations with ACC for 2025 schedule,

It would make sense. We are going to have a schedule and there’s plenty of teams who would want to play us. We are a national brand. People need to relax and let this play out.
Again, we have no clout, no leverage, no long term financial security, so guarantee(s) of anything other than 1 seat at the table at the end of the year.

There are schools for whom football is a priority and part of their identity. Then there is us and the rest of the G5. And a good chunk of the P4 schools, but we got singled out for... reasons.

You can't help what becomes ingrained to your soul when you're an angsty teen. Metallica spoke to 15 year old me like no other band had previously.

As an adult, their music leaves a lot to be desired: Lars is very mediocre as a drummer, James has about 2 octaves of range, and they aren't particularly melodic. That being said, knowing their roots and influences they are the perfect mesh of Bay area/ SoCal punk and british thrash metal, and of course the nostalgia. I have a lot of memories where Metallica is the soundtrack.
So this IS the 8th grade!

Always felt their vocals betrayed their musicality chops.

I was just there for Metallica.

Michelob Ultra tallboys were $16.50/ ea. And they were not cold.

Also, don't judge me. It was hot, I was thirsty, and that was the shortest line and all they had was garbage in a can, though I'm sure Loyal would have approved of the selection.
The judgement doesn't come from what you listed. It's from paying good money to see Metallica!

That's all I have to say about that!

Personally, I go for the $12 beers!

I wouldn’t be so sure we will get our teeth kicked in. UW is a MWC quality team this year.

The tix are too GD expensive. The game was supposed to be in Pullman this year, so take it to the needle district and make us pay twice as much? Yeah GFY.

I'll never pay to watch the Cougs play in Seattle again, unless its a post-season situation.

Its a losing proposition for the team in so many ways. I still am baffled as to why this game had to be held at Lumen anyway.

*** So, I went to ticketmaster. Any ticket in the lower bowl is over $200 and it goes up from there. 300 lvl is $100 and up. What exactly would the average WSU fan find value in? The venue? The privilege of playing a P4 school? Watching the team get their teeth kicked in?
"We gotta continue to let UW bend us over backwards to keep the relationship positive!" -- WSU admin, probably.

Scott Barnes also told Nik Daschel in sit down interview, that PAC 2 is looking to rebuild the PAC to PAC 8 with BEST possible colleges, and best possible G5's from best G5 conferences, sources(like BSU, Fresno St, SDSU, UNLV, Memphis, Tulane, etc(He isn't, can't, shouldn't say something like "We are going to Poach BSU, SDSU, Fresno St, UNLV, Memphis, Tulane". But he pretty much said that, or hinted at that by saying BEST POSSIBLE COLLEGES, AND G5'S POSSIBLE, FROM BEST G5 CONFERENCES, SOURCES, as the best colleges, G5's from the best G5 conferences, sources, Would be BSU, Fresno, SDSU, UNLV, Memphis, Tulane, UTSA, Airforce, Utah St, CSU, North Texas, Liberty(MAAC(12-0), NDSU(Regularly been the FCS national champion last 50 years, BEST FCS team, should not be FCS, should be a G5 in FBS, upsets teams like Michigan types, Like a Apalachian St).

Pac-12, Mountain West ‘too far apart’ as negotiations over 2025 scheduling partnership break down

Not saying that Sac St, Stephen Austin are possibilities. I was making the point that if PAC had SHET Stephen Austin, that then the PAC wouldn't be worth 16 to22 mil per team per year.

Both you, and 95 regularly misread things.
We read just fine. You just pick random names out of the air. Yes if we had a Pac-8 composed of Big Sky teams, our media package would be small. And the sun would rise in the east.

Article on Brand X. 35,000 total tickets sold. They estimate we will only get $2 million rather than the original $4M projection (I never believed that anyway). Still wonder if the ticket money will be split down the middle or if each "side " gets their ticket tevenues. If not, WSU will really take it in the shorts. Article implies that it will be 50/50.

Still, unless sales really pick up, and they could, I bet $2M is highballing. You have more "cheap" seats sold than high priced ones (I think anyway), and game expenses have to come off the top.

edit - Oh and I don't respond well to Jack Thompson, etc. telling us to "get off the frickin' sidelines". I'm sure others don't like being told what to do either.

Just because you keeeeep onnn repeating your $16-22M media rights number doesn't make it anything other than a figment of your imagination. And yes your fixation with Memphis and Tulane, neither of which has uttered one word about coming out West, is pure fantasy.

And why do you throw Sacramento State and Stephen F. Austin into the discussion? They are middling FCS schools.
