Not entirely surprising, but given that the secondary was far and away our biggest defensive weakness (and that's saying something), our new defensive coordinator's job just got harder.

Several outlets are reporting that Mike Leach has dismissed sophomore cornerback Daquawn Brown has been dismissed from the Washington State football program. I spoke with a source close to the situation tonight who says that the cornerback "was suspended but that can change to dismissed at any time."

Brown, a sophomore, was the Cougars' leading tackler a season ago. Freshman cornerback Kevin Griffin left the program last week, leaving Patrick Porter, Charleston White, Marcellus Pippins, Jeff Farrar and Sebastian LaRue as potential replacements in a secondary that ranked No. 11 in the Pac-12 against the pass. We'll have more as this develops.

Good to see the Cougs again get into a partner with a high school like Santa Margarita.

Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure receiver Lavan Alston says he'll take an official visit to Washington State on January 16. The three-star receiver is rated the No. 66 receiver in the country and No. 71 overall receiver in California.

Having already visited Oregon State and California, Alston will visit Nebraska and Washington State next month with one more visit in hand, likely to Utah or Arizona State. I've heard that Washington State wants to take one more receiver in this class.

The cougs won today 90-83 in a game which was not that close over UC Davis. (opps) which was 9-1 coming into game. it was a good tuneup for the cougs entering PAC 12 play

The Pac12 network has shown the WSU ND game a couple of times latley. The Cougs won both times I saw it. Just want to bring some good news to the board.

Going to assume we whiffed on him.. Maybe we didn't go after him, but it seems like he would have been a great choice.

This 4 star 6'0 172 WR will visit the cougs on 1/16.. He runs a 4.3 40 ,is quick, has great hands and runs precise routes. There is a good chance to land this guy, He has only visited Cal and OSU.This is the type of WR .Leach needs to start winning a lot of ballgames. Leach may want to greyshirt a couple of the recent recruits.

Interesting graphic. We're at least on the one side of "Powerhouse" and not completely "Embarrassing". Pretty accurate for WSU. But I'd love to see this kind of graph every year, to watch our growth.

but I don't think Tana was the world beater some might of said. Great student who's going to be a great citizen...but I hope that his departure wasn't just an opportunity for some to make "another complaint" about what some don't agree about the "new coaching staff. Too close to Christmas to be this negative.
