Let's say Pendergast has decided that WSU isn't the right fit for him. How do you go about identifying the next best candidate?

I'd wager Leach, Salave'a, Wilson, Bethea, and Reinert have been watching a lot of video on darkhorse candidates to evaluate their ability to scheme, recognize and adjust to various offensive schemes given different personnel.

What makes a good DC? What are you looking for on tape?

Hope those guys got to spend some time with their family during the holidays, I'm sure they are working harder evaluating than anyone right now and that is why it has been so quiet.

should WSU try to bring in a JC d-tackle? We're returning Vaeao, Ekuale, Barber, Tapa, and Paulo inside. Toki could see action, I suppose. Faamatau will be too light to play right away, Jeremiah Mitchell appears to be more of an d-end type. Any thoughts?

I mean, most of the West team is from Louisiana, the QB for the East team is from CA... do they just pick teams, like in the schoolyard?

Also, some of these kids exceed reasonable hat wearing standards- maybe a jersey or backpack ceremony?

Drafting legislation to NCAA for schools to able to pay for parents attending bowl games. Talk about a recruiting advantage. the power conferences would certainly benefit in recruiting. The Boise States,BYU's etc will not like this. The schools will pay not the Bowls if this is adopted.

WazzuWatch get-together during one of WSU's home games next football season. I think it would be a lot of fun.

The Cougs start 1-0 in league, and I think they are 10-2 overall. The team shot well from behind the arc. Nice win on the road to start the league season.

regarding the DC search?

Even timeline speculation? Have you heard anything blowing in the wind???

A subject came up that we were discussing just a few days ago. It was the husky honks with Dave Mahler, Dick Baird and Hugh Millen. They were talking about whether they would root for Oregon. The answer was no.

But, here is the part I wanted to focus upon. Baird said that he roots for the conference. But, he said that he could not stand Arizona's coach Rich Rodriguez. He said Rodriguez tears apart players at press conferences after games by name, especially Anu Soloman. Plus, the way he treats players on the sidelines is wrong.

What I find interesting is that it appears that Rodriguez is much, much worse than Leach in how he treats players. Yet, it is Leach who gets all the bad press because it's Leach and the Seattle Times have often written hit pieces on WSU athletics.

On Scrappy. Does he pick the coug hat?

Valid question that I can't wrap my head around.

They all lost. Ole Miss, MSU and Alabama. Talk about an over rated conference. They are currently 5-5 in the bowl season with two more to go.

What is amazing about RichRod and Todd Graham is how much they berate their players on the sidelines and there is nothing said. RichRod was just going off on his players today, which is fine, that is how coaches. But we have players parents telling Brand X that Leach would rip this son in film study in private and our fans are like "Oh, no, that is not how you handle things." I guess the question is, if WSU was winning would they really care? Nope, Nick Saban does this all the time and he gets credited for "coaching hard". Leach gets after players in private team meetings and our fans have real issues with it.

Everybody must have felt that Leach was left a 10 win team because Wulff said before he got fired it was a 10 win team. And guess what? If Leach doesn't win, he will get fired, our AD isn't the one to sit on his hands. But if you want to talk about a person that really had to clean out the stables, it is Leach. This school was an absolute dumpster fire to epic proportions and I don't think any casual fan had a damn clue about how bad it really was.
