The Seattle Times is running a breaking story that San Diego St has informed the Mountain West that they are leaving.
The article doesn't say (apparently because San Diego St hasn't said) where the Aztecs are going. The Pac-10 would be the
obviously destination but that hasn't been announced.

He left Missouri a couple years ago, but it seemed like kind of a hush-hush deal. Maybe Flat can fill us in since that's his neck of the woods

As expected Coach Jeremy Harden is evidently on the staff. He was an assistant at Idaho and former Head Coach at Wenatchee Valley College and is known to be a recruiter and a player developer. Bigs and was player development coach for Leon Rice.

Looks like a resolve will come soon.

Listening to some sports talk radio today and one of the guys mentioned that one way to “stick it” to any Pac-12 schools that leave is to drop them in all sports, which would significantly increase their travel burdens and further isolate their programs geographically.

For example, if the Ducks and Huskies left for a bigger check and screwed the schools who were loyal, the Cougs and Beavs would make them pay and anger their fans by dropping all games, matches, meets, etc.

Would this be a pretty effective tactic to send a message about trying to breakup a conference in the name of money?
