Luani

The closed fist part of that is irrelevant. Go into a store, yell until people until they start telling you to leave and then hit someone in the face however you want. See how that goes for you.

By the way, it says a lot about the people on this board that instead of going past this thread and talking about the win.....you feel the need to validate yourselves by trolling in this thread. Talk about the game, it's a better topic.

I can do more than one thing at a time. I can talk about a win and discuss this with you and talk about the Luani incident.

It appears that you feel the need to call me a troll. Who is the person that is really trolling?

That is just it, Luani DID NOT YELL AT ANYONE. Again, did you even watch the video? You have been WRONG on every count of what you write about the situation.

Words matter, an open hand versus a closed fist does matter. If you want to quit talking about this, fine. We will just agree to disagree.

FWIW, this isn't about my ego. It's about Luani's ego and the four bros' egos. If they weren't a bunch of hard dicked a-holes (collectively), this wouldn't have been in the news. You talk to me about my ego and arrogance but you are willing to overlook Luani's stupidity and try to proclaim him as a victim because he was harassed for months and months by the mean cops and prosecutor (even if it was about 30 days and the prosecutor probably deserves credit for not rushing to judgment).

Outside of blind fanboys that can't see past their crimson shades, nobody in their right mind watches that video and proclaims Luani to be a victim. You don't punch, slap, poke, hit, tickle or whatever the hell you want to call what Luani did to bandanna boys face without accepting the fact that his friends might kick your ass for doing it. Maybe people in the midwest really are friendlier than people on the coast and feel that telling an angry person to leave is better than jacking someone in the face. Perhaps my bias is that I'm not an asshole who walks through life thinking it's OK to punch everyone that disagrees with me. You might want to think about your own biases while you are flinging your monkey poop around in your glass house.

You sound like a really nice guy who takes the high road in these instances. However, this incident is not as easy or simple as many are making it out to be. Anyone who says that they don't really know what words were exchanged are right. Everyone has their own interpretation of this video. IMHO....the other patrons in the video took too many liberties in "ushering out the loud guy". Furthermore, the hand gesture of the bandana guy clearly demonstrates that they had made up their mind to do something at this point "in conjunction". Shalom is a smart guy and realized it was the bandana boy who initiated the whole thing with the finger (athletes have good peripheral vision)- so he agrees to leave, but has a word with the bandana boy to find out his role and the bandana boy gladly verifies and then has to suffer the consequences.
I won't deny that some would say that I'm being an asshole about this, but that doesn't matter to me because I think it's important for people to understand that you don't get to hit people in the face without deserving to get your ass kicked. It doesn't matter that they shoved him towards the door. He was out the door and had the opportunity to leave and chose to turn back and hit the guy in the face. It was a choice he made and he deserved to get his ass kicked for it. If you are ever in that situation and hit someone in the face the way that Luani did, you'll get thrown against a car by four dudes and you'll deserve it too.

It's pretty remarkable how many interpretations of the same video there are. Now some claim to have the audio as well. LMFAO

If that comment is made to me, then watch the video and tell me where you think he might be yelling and causing a commotion?

Luani definitely reacted to something that bandana boy said. We don't know what he said, but it is possible he said something so outrageous that Luani reacted. I am not saying that bandana boy said a racial slur. I do not know. But, it would not shock me either if he did.

The remark was meant for anyone claiming they know he was yelling. Bandana seemed to add insult to injury by saying whatever he said after Shalom seemingly agrees to leave after being shoved to the door. There's a good reason no one pressed charges and it's end of story. If someone is really being disorderly...the Dominos manager calls the police and asks them to escort him out after agreeing to refund his card or give him his money back. We'll ignore the obvious fact that it takes less than 2 minutes to make a pizza and maybe 10 minutes to cook it.

The Little Dick Baird Club disagrees.

OK, that makes sense.

Fro...since everyone claims we really can't judge because we don't really see anything, maybe the problem is he never paid for the order. Maybe that is what was communicated to him. Since we don't know whether or not he paid for the pizza, maybe he had no right to be angry.

There are two narratives. The one I hope it is that Luani had a good buzz going on, was a little more vocal than he should be, and people felt he was loud and escorted him out of the building. That is one I really hope it is as Luani can learn from that experience, and learns it never makes sense to strike someone in that environment.

The other is four guys in that building don't like people who have a different skin color. If that is indeed the case it is a sad state of affairs/

I am really not trying to stir any pots, and maybe I missed something, but has anyone on here thought this (second narrative). Most people here are saying 4 bros were acting like tough guys rather than something racist in intent....

If bandana guy's mouth is writing checks his skinny ass can't back up, then its not a sucker punch. Drunk guys running their mouths to other drunk guys should have every expectation to get smacked in the mouth, doubly so if you put your hands on someone.

That being said, NO ONE knows what was said or to who.

Flatland does.

Sorry Ed, he wouldn't of had a chance to become loud if they'd gotten him out in a reasonable time. The "maybe he didn't pay for the pizza" is reach beyond belief....even for you. If the other patrons felt as though they didn't have anything to learn from this experience ...then they would of pressed charges.

Just thought that I would look back in on the thread and see if it was still going. Yep, it is. Nobody knows what really happened but that has not prevented some from reaching a conclusion. All of whom are presumably eligible for jury duty. Oooooh........

CougEd: "There are two narratives."

Right. Not 10's... or 100's of narratives. It isn't that anyone here can, or should, outline EVERY possible narrative. It's just that there are 2. Good grief...

What's funny is that you all know that it played out just like my narrative, but it's more fun to be disagreeable.
To be honest, there is no way for any of us to "know" the story with any exactitude. Probable? Yes. Certainly meets the "preponderance of evidence" bar for a civil suit....but I have not seen ANY evidence that would make ANY option "beyond a reasonable doubt." Doesn't mean that evidence doesn't exist somewhere, just that I have seen no smoking gun.

You didn't answer any of my questions, you just ignored them. Why is that?

Those four fools escalated the situation and so the tensions were higher at that moment. Luani was out the door, the bandana fool should have just let him leave. Instead, he said something that made Luani react. By the way, it was an open hand shove upward to the chin.

Also, he didn't turn back, he was always facing him. Did you even watch the video? Or are you just spouting off to be a contrarian?

Again, it was five drunks doing something stupid. But, as the prosecutor said, bandana boy and his court were the instigators.

Anyway, I am off to the gym. Talk you you later.
Does it bother you as much as it does me that spell check doesn't recognize the word "contrarian"?

To be honest, I can't believe that you guys still feel the need to comment on this. Everyone has their opinion. No one is going to change.

Let's talk about Stanford instead.

Your posts are the definition of irony.

If you are so above this discussion, then stop posting in it.

And if you want to talk about Stanford, then start a thread about Stanford.

The problem Cp is if Luani is just a guy who is patiently waiting for his pizza, and there are all sorts of people in that building, why did the four "bros" decide to pick out the kid with different skin color. They could have been four tough guys with six other individuals. They zeroed in on Luani.

I haven't posted on this since Sunday morning. I'm happy to let it go because everyone knows everyone's position. There isn't anything new to be gleaned from any further discussion. I started several different threads on Sunday but certain idiots on this board don't want to talk about anything but different ways to attack other posters. A thread discussing how the teams in the Pac-12 rank amongst each other gets zero posts. A thread talking about bowl projections.......zero posts. A thread about the game against Oregon gets 22 posts, but half of them were from a guy who roots for Oregon.

Meanwhile, Yaki trolls the board and the flies swarm all over it. Don't talk to me about irony.

Do so then.

No one needs the "hall monitor" routine.

Again....hi pot.
Flat, he's never said to stop posting here. Only you. He's not monitoring the thread. He's only pointing out that YOU are.

Why can't we have heated, vigorous debate without it going completely juvenile, emotional and personal? I know I've gotten caught up in it in the past but man… some do it on a continual basis. A couple people truly do ruin this site…

And I'm not saying you, Fab5Coug. Let him have the last word… It's obviously what he's gunning for.

The ironic thing about the course of this discussion is how much it mirrors the Luani incident itself. Some want to be hall monitors without being appointed hall monitors and then deny trying to be hall monitors.

FWIW, he said that I should start a different thread. I pointed out that I actually had started three different threads on Sunday that were actually related to WSU football as opposed to dick measuring contests between posters. Unfortunately, there is very little desire on this board to discuss WSU football. As for me "needing to get in the last word", I let a lot of people post on Saturday without responding because it was time to stop.

Feel free to note that the thread had died a peaceful death for 24 hours with Coug1990 getting the last word until CP felt the need to revive it on Sunday morning because that is what people around here do when they are bored. Why talk about Coug football when you can take a potshot at ol' Flatland? BTW, I'm not claiming to be a victim here, I'm just saying that it's hilarious to suggest that I'm the one keeping this crap around.

Feel free to make a football related comment about our bowl chances, or where we rank in the conference or, if you'd rather, just like we've seen for a week, dredge this sum bitch back up to the top.

And yet you are still posting in here.... ITS EVERYONE ELSE'S FAULT GUYS!

I actually wasn't reviving anything, I was telling another poster you are a jerk and that he should just stop posting. I see I was correct on both accounts...
