I'm giving the staff a lot of slack. The selling point of Pullman is the university, campus and the passion. You are signing to be a Coug. That's the culture we need to build.
Rolo is limited on the "in-person" experience this season. Filling up enough key spots with guys that want to be a Coug, and have upside, seems like a good strategy.
You also have to remember, some guys are just athletes. Ward may be a great QB, but maybe he's an athlete. Would be the first time you see a QB turn into an outstanding DB or WR.
