Is Rolovich finally in our rear view mirror forever

No it didn't. They were always chasing the latest mutation with covid, unlike with the influenza vaccines which are created from what is the most likely strain they see from the southern hemisphere each year.

The government (CDC specifically) lied so many times about the virus and completely lost their credibility. The damage they've done along with the rest of the healthcare corporations and Big Pharma will take years to repair.
Well when the vaccine came out, it was covid 19. There was a window before it mutated. We as a country didn't get enough shots in the arms. Are you saying that is not the case. Once it mutated to delta the horse was out of the barn, about time they were dealing with Rolo.

Rolo couldn't do the job he was hired to do, and he was worried about Gates putting a chip in his body. As like, who is Rolo....

The "data" at the time. Hilarious Ed. The Earth is flat.

And no... Kids are not forced. To make such a statement is 100% false. You can say... SOME kids are forced, but definitely in no way are ALL kids forced.
Can your kids attend school, play sports if they aren't vaxed. I will tell you with absolute certainty Rolo's kids were vaxed for Polio and the rest at birth or soon after. Not some kids, all kids. They just tell you to play sports you have to have these vaccines.

If you ask Google where they are, you'll find that the companies that operated this kind of tanker all went belly up, and the tankers have been sold to airlines for conversion into cargo aircraft.

You might also find that air operations start getting dicey as winds go above 30-40 MPH. Windy conditions create turbulence near the ground that make it increasingly unsafe to operate at low altitudes. The higher they drop from, the less accurate the drop, and the more it dissipates. Increasing winds exacerbate this - the 50-80 MPH winds they've seen in these fires mean they would have to drop from higher altitude, which means the wind carries it even more/farther, and makes them less effective.

As for the reservoirs - apparently this passed in 2014. For most of the period between then and now, the big news out of California has been continuing drought and declining reservoir/lake levels. I don't see a lot of point in rushing to build reservoirs when the ones you have are drying out. In the last 12-18 months, the drought has eased in northern California, but most of the south - including the entire LA area - remains in moderate to severe drought. Which is a big part of why it burns so easily.

As for "cleaning the forest floor" I don't know if you've been in SoCal much, but there's not much forest there. That's not really something that's relevant to the current situation.

Yes, I know Malibu and its terrain.

Life is full of risks. Federal government interventions always makes things worse.

Just think of all the businesses and lives destroy due to lockdowns.
Or like in Sweden where they didn't lock down and all the lives that were destroyed because their GDP decreased more than Norway, who locked it down. People self isolated in Sweden.

And a got an SDSU QB commit with zero other offers. The optics are bad. Feels like they are rushing just to get bodies and not evaluating players that might be available who want to be Cougs. The QB at Camas is a kid that through for a ton of yard, state 4A player of the year, and feels like a diamond in the rough. We need to load up on in-state kids annually in all sports. (In state tuition is cheaper on the budget)
I saw that on Brand X. He sounds fantastic, just ask him!

"I would say I'm a dual-threat playmaker," Eshelman said. "This year I finished top three in passing and rushing in our league. I threw for about 2,600 yards and rushed for around 1,300. I love to sit in the pocket and dice up some defenses, but I'm totally content to get outside and run the football too."

I did not know about the zero offers, although who knows when he committed to SDSU after spurning all the schools in his home state.

I don't know of this Camas kid. You gonna make me/us do the legwork?

Now let’s do water. Let’s just ignore for a moment the fact firemen, women, others have no water 💦 at the hydrants.

Check the date of this post then ask… well then where are they?

Yeah picking off their best couple of players is one thing. Reloading your roster with a dozen or so SDSU starters probably isn’t going to be a winning strategy. Its sorta trended that direction so we will see…

Northern Illinois to Pac

Ok, I still want to know what NIU's AD was talking about with his "joining of brands" BS. Where the F did that come from? Nobody seems to know. Very odd thing to say.

"NIU's AD says he could envision the Mountain West adding another football-only member...Also suggests there could be more change in the Pac-12 and "joining of brands""

I agree with Save that the MW's recent moves are sinking any possibility of a merger. I disagree with Flat that Stanford, CAL or even Utah would come back to the Pac. Hoping that the ACC falls apart is not my idea of a long-term option. And Utah is just all butthurt because they sucked in the Big-12 this year. They aren't going anywhere.
No idea either but maybe it's some sort of scheduling alliance in terms of "joining of brands".

I can't really see how Stanford let alone Cal can sustain what they are doing or a landing spot that makes sense for them further west.

Reading this thread, my first question is whether anyone on this board actually watched SDSU play this year? I kinda doubt it. I didn't. why the F would I, even if they were televised out here? which I am certain they weren't, except for maybe their playoff loss. I did watch a bunch of the FCS title game this week. Good game, good players. That's all well and good.

But there is a reason why all of these players are on FCS teams. And why very few FCS players are out there scoring big in the portal. They aren't FBS quality. SDSU's QB went to Iowa. Good for him. How many others from SDSU are going to FBS schools (WSU doesn't count), NIL or not? I'm fairly sure that number is.......zero.

I continue to laugh at the non-stop pandering emitting from Brand X. Now we have Robin Flugrad waxing on about how great new coach Everette Thompson is. They first crossed paths while Pflugrad was HC at Phoenix CC (not making this up), then again at N. Arizona, where Thompson apparently was let go during Pflugrad's asst coach tenure as he surfaced at a lower-level position at Cal Poly. You don't get promoted from DL coach to "defensive quality control coach". Oh but he's Polynesian - get him into every living room.

So I wish the best for our Cougs, and if we win say, 7-8 games I will come on this board and profess my stupidity for blasting our FCS coaching staff and many FCS players. Until then, and until I get to review the rest of the TBD coaching hires, color me beyond skeptical.

Cool. So are you suggesting trees aren’t fuel or that they should all be removed to prevent fire spread? Asking for a third grader friend.
Grok: The word "fuel" is generally considered appropriate for **3rd grade** reading levels and above. This assessment is based on common readability metrics and vocabulary lists for educational purposes.

Already did.

Loyal, B-x put articles out selling Anne McCoy as the top choice for the AD with an interview from Jim Sterk.

The fact they were using Jim Sterk as the trusted voice of the past, should have been a huge red flag for any Coug that witnessed Jim Sterk single-handedly run Cougar football into the ground. That guy's legacy will be forever mishandling of Mike Price, hiring Doba and then Paul Wulff. Sterk got lucky with Tony Bennett is it was Dick who proposed the idea to Sterk.

Despite what's being publicly stated, McCoy and Schulz are building this staff on the cheap is my view. They claim some $4.5M number for assistant salaries but my guess is they will allocate that somewhere else.

Nothing we can do but hope Jimmy is the second coming of Nick Saban and he's a football coaching genius.

McCoy has totally botched every the PR aspect of this hire, including the hire itself. Very poorly done.
Fixed your post........ :)

Well we had 2 Poly coaches this year. One went to Utah with Parker, the other (Maile) has apparently been let go. The 2 we have brought in are underwhelming, as I have documented elsewhere. Assistant position coaches. Not position coaches - Assistant position coaches. At College of Idaho and Cal Poly.

Brand X is dusting off the pro-Paul Wulff propaganda campaign material from well over a decade ago. Themes of "rebuilding this the right way"...."the cupboard is bare"....are forthcoming if we slide back from a bowl team (which is arguably the new benchmark).

On Pflugrad, he was the recruiting architect for Doba and went for kids like Randy Estes. He passed on solid 3 star kids to come to Pullman. His mistakes were the prelude to the Paul Wulff years.

I'm actually happy we are going for coaches with Poly ties though. I think we can continue to find some diamonds in the rough with those type of kids.
