New Debate thread?

Laziest of comments. False equivalency. Do you really believe the distortions and lies were on the same level. Holy fvck. Taihtsat
I think it's pretty accurate, actually. Both candidates made statements that have been openly debunked. Both distorted facts and focused on narrow misrepresentations. The moderators second-guessed, corrected, and reference checked him, not her.

This wasn't a debate, it was black comedy theater.

A VERY Powerful Testimony

Ms Aguirre testified before Congress (think it was today) about the issue of crime done by illegal migrants. Her testimony was one of the most passionate, powerful things I have ever listened to. It will break your heart. Her part is just the first 6 minutes of the linked video. Do yourself a favor and listen to what she has to say.

Do you believe that immigrants (illegal or otherwise) commit crimes at a higher rate than native born US citizens? If som what do you base this on?

Clown’s right.

Kamala’s whoppers were over the top, blatant gas lighting. Trump missed many opportunities last night based on clips I saw this morning.

No chance Kamala’s handlers allow her to debate again.

New Debate thread?

FOX claims they sent an invite to both candidates last night for an October debate.

Trump apparently was on FOX this morning agreeing to another debate but without Never Trumper hosts Brett Bair and Martha McCallum.
If I’m Kamala why would I debate again. It’s like if we kick UWs ass on Saturday and they demand a rematch during our normally scheduled date.

New Drake you need to watch...

I listen to Drake and I like what he has to say since he does back WSU and OSU getting into the Big 12. However, I have learned to take what he says with a grain of salt because he is often wrong. The thing to remember is these are guys doing podcasts out of their homes and while they may have sources of information, those sources are often not associated with teams or conferences and are wrong themselves. Rule of thumb - go ahead and listen but don’t take these podcasts seriously.

John Canzano w/ Puck.....2025 scheduling and Apple Cup analysis...

Looks like we have Virginia scheduled next year, and Notre Dame has an opening? Looks like we are a few weeks away from the 2025 definitive schedule.

Our current schedule next year looks like this so far:

8/30: Idaho
9/6: SDSU
9/13: at North Texas
9/27: at Virginia
TBD: UW
TBD: OSU (this one isn't listed but should happen)

It will be interesting to see how we fill it out the rest of the way.

Not to get too far ahead....but what are the bowl tie-ins?

This is probably true, and I think it is going to be one more nail in the coffin of college football. The gap between top 20-30 programs and the other 100 programs is getting bigger and bigger. Basically there is going to be 24 teams at the start of any given season competing for 12 spots in the CFP, and the remaining 100 teams will have little to play for after the first month of the season. The bowl game was a realistic goal for most teams even into November, even if many didn't live up to the hype. I personally think that teams should list the bowl at TBN on the schedule and make it clear to players that the bowl is an expectation for the season, not an optional add-on.

If this all plays out as predicted, I think more and more teams outside the Power 4 will start to look at FCS/DII as a much more realistic option to keep football on campus.

The drop in scholarships to FCS/d2 is steep. The quality of football will plummet if that happens.
