I have changed my mind... I want Nevada

Apparently UNLV and Nevada's TV Ratings are beyond horrible. The locals don't care, and only a small percentage of hard core fans watch their games on TV. It's true.
Nevada’s average TV audience would fit in Martin stadium. And all of them could sit. UNLV’s is higher, but it’s still going to sell to county level advertisers, not state and certainly not national.

No, not really the same. UW left a fully functioning conference for more money. WSU and OSU have recruited new members to rebuild a conference decimated by defections.

The only hypocrisy that could even be considered here is if CSU, SDSU, FSU, USU and BSU all had came out publicly denouncing you douchbags as duplicitous, traitorous scum-suckers...and then proceeded to leave their conference for more money. That's all I have to say about that.
I never said same and totally agree it's not. What the cuogs are doing is worse.

Really, no matter how this ends up playing out, I don’t like it. We’re doing pretty much the same thing to the MWC as was done to us. We’ve got more of a survival motivation, rather than the outright greed that USC, UCLA, UW, and UO had, but the money is a factor too. But, we went to the MWC for a life boat…and then we talked their strongest rowers into a mutiny and tossed the rest in the water.

I know, it’s the way CFB is now. Doesn’t mean I have to like it.
I don't feel sorry for the MWC at all. They knew they had us over a barrel before this season because we needed games in a hurry. So, they overcharged us. They tried to do the same thing in the other sports, but we had more time to make other arrangements. They even tried to gouge us even more by doubling the amount they were charging for the 2025 schedule, and we said no.

Did you notice that all of our tough and money making conference games are on the road? It is not a coincidence.

Instead of trying to work with the Pac 12 for some sort of partnership, the MWC leadership tried to use us as an ATM. They were just as greedy as the huskies, Ducks, etc. The MWC overplayed their hand. I repeat, I don't feel sorry for them at all.

Just wow

Regardless of the details, this is the predictable result of NIL. Players will hold out for more money after a good season. If they get out to a hot start, they can hold out for more. There are no controls on what they can demand or when. Get used to seeing good players on mid- and lower-level teams shut down their seasons after week 3, so they can save their eligibility for transfer.

Just wow

So 3-0 UNLV (ranked # 29 via other receiving votes) beats...

First 3-0 start since 1984.

At Houston Cougars, 27-7
Utah Tech (FCS) at home, 72-14
At Kansas Jayhawks 23-20

and Fresno State (3-1) at home on Saturday.

Sheesh. If he did hire an Agent to seek more money, then is both Ego-Greed and a Quitter, who quits on his team?
And possibly it's the Agent's fault for ambulance chasing to "dude....hire me, and I'll no doubt, 100%...get you more money"!

Could the root cause be the Agent?

Most stupid thing I've ever read....Paul Sorenson

F-it, I'll link the Brand X article. What a crock of shit.

"I think Pac-12 Commissioner Teresa Gould is smart as hell. I think she has been doing a lot of rope-a-doping here. The Presidents ultimately decide, but she's a veteran backroom fighter, and making the right moves.

I think Gould is a brilliant commissioner,"

Either Paul is F-ing her (no thanks BTW), or he is I don't know what. Ms. "swing for the fences" from last Friday has F-ed this thing up so badly. All to keep her job, at the expense of the Pac-2 and the MW. This new lawsuit is pathetic. Snookering the 4 traitors with promises of AAC poaches will be exposed. They so played her. We will survive in spite of her. And how is our 2025 schedule looking, Teresa and Anne?

I do think that the Schulz PR machine wants to do a victory lap on this.

You may recall, Schulz hinted at wanting to move in this direction a year ago.

You have to read the post I replied to for context, follow along. Yes, we left for the money 100%, nothing hypocritical about that. I was pointing out the posters hypocrisy. If you are supporting the cuogs current moves while criticizing UW's choice, you are the hypocrite.

You mean like the Traitor 10, B10, B12 and the ACC did their best to destroy the PAC12 because of money? The PAC12 learned its lesson from the best and your hypocrisy knows no limits.

The question is what’s more gross, a kid quitting on his team mid season or a program making NIL promises they didn’t follow through on (which appears to be the case).

Shitty for the team as it could be a historic season.
So this was the reason? The kid was promised NIL money, and it never was produced? Despite the fact that UNLV is 3-0.
Is this the reason for him quitting?

Why are the exit fees against the PAC-12 teams enforceable but MWC and ACC teams not?

USC, Washington, etc. attorneys all got duped?
It is not the exit fees at issue, it is the “poaching “fees. Also have seen other places confusing GOR with this suit, but those are specifically tied to media rights. Not sure how it all works out, but some of the OSU beaver lawyer folks seem to thing a settlement is coming.
