Post game thoughts

-Wisconsin and Oregon State win overvalued

-UCLA will be considered a legit defense and good team. Just a young QB and meh Oline.

- Our OL bad.

-RBs bad at seeing lanes

-Did Cam get a concussion or decide to just not try?

-Arbuckle out coached for 3.5 quarters

-criminal to not try Mateer with some runs and play action

-too many TOs

-Arbuckle turned into Morris

Go Cougs.

F Dish

I tried to watch the game and it pops up “You aren’t authorized for this channel.” I then try the P12 app, but can’t login because the Dish website says it is unavailable. So, I call Dish. They say they know of the issue but cannot help until the network issues are figured out. I ask how long. They say 8-12 hours.

So, I watch the FSU/VT and Alabama/TAMU game vowing to not look at the ticker on the bottom, flipping back and forth and trying the Dish website. No luck. Then I accidentally see the score.

F Dish and F the P12 refusing to be a la carte.

Gameday

I have not watched all year - I tend to sleep in a lot. But woke up early and said screw it so I got up.

So 'Ol Crimson and Whitey were front and center, but where did this anthracite flag come from? Didn't see the OSU flag at first, but it was there.

I haven't caught the whole thing and probably will turn off soon - but haven't heard any jabs from MacAfee yet. I kind of wonder if the ESPN execs had a littl chat with him - he seemed a bit chill, so far anyway..

Kid just missed a 30 yard field goal for $45,000. Right on track but just below the crossbar.

A bad match up

And a brilliant defensive plan .

I think two backups fumble in the first half and would have been 9-0, and maybe change Chips offense a little .

We have seen this before 3 man line but standing up and blocking cams sight lines pre snap .

I think next week is a different matchup for UCLA against the Beavers . Beavs have a better line .

Pretty satisfying game

Despite being seriously outgunned, UNC fought the good fight. Good luck to them. Cam was sharp, although I still don't like his sidearm delivery. Mateer did great, nice to see him get extended minutes. We need to hang on to him. Our 3rd stringer shows promise, but with him and Mateer both being RS Freshmen, he's gotta go.

Great to see all the backups getting serious playing time. Go Cougs.

And now Wilner weighs in on Gameday

Don’t remember this but Gameday teed off on the mutts non conference schedule a few years back.

1. Did they ever call out SEC schools lightweight non-conference schedules?
2. Herbstreit is a repeat offender d-bag.
3. I will go to my grave knowing damn well Dickert did not misquote that senile old fart bag Corso. Don’t know why Wilner repeats the same misquote of Corso.

It is going to be a Hot, Hot game

We are in the middle of a heat wave, the temperature is going to be in the mid 90s, 90 degrees by kick off, not a stick of shade to be had. The only saving grace is that it will be played on grass, which will keep the heat down on the field quite a bit. But in the stands it will be "en fuego!" Shouldn't be much of an advantage for UCLA, since Westwood is in the coastal "goldilocks" zone, 5 miles from the beach.

Locked on Big 12 Drake Toll vs. The Monty Show, Part 2. There is some good truth here....

This makes sense. I've been watching both shows since Week 1. Drake brings up a good point. There's a legal battle going on, and at the moment, and the Big 12 is doing what they should be doing. Keeping out of it and staying silent......for now.

Monty is all about click bait and sensationalism. For fans.....and WSU administrators....we shouldn't give up. This is very possibile and why not? Virtually everything we to the table is positive. We'll need to wait for the current legal battle to settle, before the Big 12 makes a final decision to throw or not to throw us a lifeline.

Sugar daddies

I was reading one of those "articles", this one about rich guys and their girlfriends/wives. It just blew me away how many billionaires are out there, mostly tech guys. I mean multi-multi billionaires. Just don't understand how that can be. Billionaires - while America is mired in deficits. But that's not the point of this post.

A lot of programs have well-heeled donors, beyond the household names like Knight and Pickens. WSU doesn't. We had a potential one who is now dead. For a guy that owned an NFL team and an NBA team, couldn't Paul Allen have eaked out a hundred million or 2 for his alma mater?

We've had some donors step up with their million dollar donations, which we should be grateful for. But we just don't have a Big bigtime donor, or potential one from what I see.
