UPDATE: Exciting new QB target...

Washington State has picked up interest in Norco (Calif.) QB Victor Viramontes, he told me this evening. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound dual-threat quarterback is an exciting talent, who simply makes plays. He's rated three-stars by Rivals and does not yet hold any offers, though Arizona is also taking a close look at him.

He's being recruited by Coach Wilson and was invited to the WSU junior day on March 28, though he's not sure whether he'll be able to make it.

Here's his film: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xayutdlq614&feature=youtu.be

*** UPDATE: New QB offer out... ***

Washington State has offered Glendora (Calif.) quarterback Matt Fink, he announced on Twitter. The 6-foot-3, 185-pounder is rated three-stars by Rivals and the No. 12 pro-style quarterback in the 2016 class. He's a burner, though, and could be on of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in this class, as well.

In addition to Washington State, Fink holds offers from Boise State, Colorado, Colorado State, Nevada, Oregon State and Washington. You have to check out this kids film, which I'll link below. He's built like Connor Halliday but would be one of the fastest guys in the offense.

UPDATE: New offer out to Rivals250 WR...

Bellaire (TX) WR Courtney Lark confirmed to WW on Thursday that Washington State offered today. The 6-foot-1, 163-pound receiver, currently committed to TCU, is rated four-stars by Rivals and ranked the No. 32 receiver prospect in the 2016 class.

Lark, ranked No. 132 in the country, also holds offers from Baylor, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Nebraska, Texas Tech, UNLV and SMU. He remains firmly committed to TCU, though he's another talented receiver prospect to watch.

Season Ticket Renewal Discount

I just renewed my tickets today. Apparently I got a discount by doing so. My question is...

The website said that tickets after today go up by $30 per ticket. $180 bucks a seat seems like a lot. My purchase broke out like this:

Description Location Qty Price Item Fee Fac Fee Amount

--------------- --------------- --- -------- -------- -------- ----------

2015 FOOTBALL x x xx x-x 2 220.00 0.00 30.00 500.00

Does that mean renewing tomorrow it would have looked like this?

Description Location Qty Price Item Fee Fac Fee Amount

--------------- --------------- --- -------- -------- -------- ----------

2015 FOOTBALL x x xx x-x 2 400.00 0.00 30.00 860.00

That seems awful steep compared to years past. Almost $72 per ticket before CAF donations. I know it was almost 20 years ago but the 98 Rose Bowl was only $75 per ticket.

I guess $72 is on par with other schools so I'm not bitching and want the school to get what they can. Can't remember what I paid last year but I know I wasn't early. I want to say it was closer to $600 for two tickts.

SOURCE: Wazzu in mix for SEC transfer...

University of Tennessee WR transfer Vic Wharton III is scheduled to take an official visit to Washington State on March 7, a source told WW late Tuesday evening. The two sides are still working on finalizing the visit, but I'm told it's certain to happen.

Wharton, a former four-star wide receiver out of Nashville (Tenn.) Independence, has already visited Cal and UNC. Utah is also in the picture, though there no official visit plans have been set. Wharton signed with Tennessee as a member of the 2014 class, where he was ranked the No. 52 wide receiver in the country and No. 9 overall prospect in Tennessee. He picked the Volunteers over offers from Cincinnati, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, North Carolina, Purdue, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest.

As a true freshman last season, the 6-foot, 190-pound inside receiver played in nine games, making two starts, and caught five passes for 64 yards and a touchdown.

UPDATE: New offer out to Calif. ATH...

According to Rivals analyst Adam Gorney, Gardena (Calif.) Serra ATH Khalil Tate picked up an offer from Washington State tonight. The 6-foot-2, 200-pounder is rated three-stars by Rivals and is ranked the No. 35 athlete in the 2016 class.

In addition to Washington State, Tate holds offers from Arizona, California, Florida State, Kansas, Oregon State, USC, UCLA, Utah and several others. He's a quarterback for Serra, and his heart is set on that at the next level, but most schools are recruiting him as an athlete.

Cooper late first round pick? I read some where his 40 time really

made several teams take notice. But I would have sworn he would have been lucky to make it by round 4.

I know the NFL isn't about college production, but it seems like once a kid posts some good numbers in the combine it becomes the rage. After Locker out ran Buchanon in 2010 and seeing how he struggled at times in coverage I couldn't see how he would be picked before round three, yet his 40 time really opened eyes. Maybe same thing for Cooper and his decision to leave wasn't dumb after all.

UPDATE: New offer out to 3-star ATH...

Elk Grove (Calif.) Franklin ATH Lamar Jackson, after a MVP performance at the Rivals Camp Series in Las Vegas over the weekend, has received an offer from Washington State, he announced on Twitter today. The 6-foot-3, 205-pound cornerback is ranked the No. 68 prospect in California and also holds offers from Boise State, California, Colorado, UCLA and Utah.

"[Jackson] was outstanding at cornerback, earning the defensive back MVP award for his work on the perimeter," Rivals analyst Adam Gorney said of Jackson. "Jackson is long and rangy, and proved to be a nuisance for any quarterback that tested him downfield. Receivers had a difficult time gaining separation from the unheralded athlete throughout the one-on-one session."
