They open with TCU, Nebraska, and Colorado St. Then onto Pac12 schedule where they miss UW & Cal. That’s a pretty brutal schedule with SC, Oregon, Oregon St. Utah, both AZ schools, UCLA, and we catch them end of year. No hate against Prime because I haven’t paid attention to the saga in depth, but this may be a humbling year for that crew. I’d say 3-4 wins would be widely considered a success as long as they are competitive in spots.

Maybe it's not just a Cougar Collective Problem. Yes I donate, but if your wr coach can't relate to his players and can't recruit portal players....you have a bigger problem. We are down to Smithson and Nunnaly. As of now our 2023 starting wrs. Might be cheaper to hire a guy like Pat McCann then use all of our collective to persuade players to come play here.

In other news, was graced with hearing Dan Lanning talk about how his relationships and adjustments (to the NIL/portal) were responsible for their boon of recruiting flips today... gmafb.

The pending offensive coordinator decision is so critical to ours, and Dickert's future. I wish I knew who the top-3 candidates were so I could chime in.

I hope Dickert signs an offensive coordinator who knows how to scheme to this approach. He can have air raid principles, but he should also possess the aptitude to gameplan. That's where, IMO, Leach fell short. He trotted his offense out there the same way vs. Eastern WA as he did vs. UW and their all-NFL secondary.

I look at our schedule next season and see games vs. Colorado State, Northern Colorado, Stanford, Cal, Colorado, Arizona, Oregon State, UCLA, Arizona State. Cam Ward isn't a perfect product yet, but a good offensive coordinator should be able to scheme against those 9 defenses.

JC kids look good and should be able to help. Many of the HS kids only have a couple of MWC offers. Film isnt very impressive. Concerned. Very concerned. This next stretch before Feb signing day is absolutely vital. Can Filani and staff meet the huge needs at outside wr. Huge needs there? Can Mcguire and staff meet the huge needs at OL..can he find some hs OL w better feet. Can Kaligis and staff find an immediate difference maker at DT? Last year we struck out at those positions. Can Dickert replace the talented three linebackers we lost this past month? Found one so far. Need more two more, preferably w more than one year of eligibility. If those needs aren't met we might be dusting off our "Drinking team has a football problem" shirts from the late 98/99/2000 Era.

For gawd's sake they are a basketball school and everyone knows that.
